Great Sushi & Great service with some amazing dishes by Tang! Super fresh fish and awesome rolls!

Service is always top notch and fish quality is excellent. Definitely has a consistent crowd. I enjoy that they have a good selection of salmon rolls and some fantastic cooked options. Pricing is a bit on the higher side so it's more on a date night option rather than a weekly lunch spot.

Had Take out from Tang's today. Great food, and amazing customer service. We couldn't say enough about the service. Definitely need to check them out.

We can in for lunch time, we were sat right away. The staff were friendly. Figured out we like spicy and suggested some spicy rolls. They were delicious!! The place was clean and quiet. We wanted to sit at the sushi bar but that is only open for dinner time. The sushi was fresh and tasty. I would definitely come back and order some different kinds. My favorite was the Dynamite! Another I noticed and ABSOLUTELY appreciated was that there were no shrimp tails in my sushi! I didn't have to put it off to eat. I honestly think the shrimp tails at the end of the sushi is a waste of space and time. So thank you! We had pepperdfin, Lucy bbq albacore slider,Caliente,Dynamite & Max pain

I just can't say enough about Tangs! They consistently hit the mark in both food and service. They literally never miss. Obviously you have to get the chips! Just be careful not to get too full because they are so good! The scallop shooter is a perfect way to kick off your night. Then you absolutely must get the pepperfin!! I don't know wear they get their fish but oh my goodness it is fresh and just melts in your mouth. We love the Fendi roll and get it every time. We tried the Blossom two which is new favorite of mine so much flavor and texture. Bryan was our server that night he was accommodating, friendly, and fun! Service was a 10/10!! If you are in Sacramento it's worth the drive to Roseville for sure. You won't regret it. If you're local then I am just jealous I would be here at least twice a week if I could. Did I mentioned this is family owned by the nicest family?! Enjoy Yelpers!

Finally, after three attempts at getting seats here, we made it. This time we arrived during their opening at 4:30 on a sizzling summer afternoon. I requested to sit by the bar, but the server said it was closed. I noticed later that it was where they were stacking to-go orders. Place got filled up within 30 minutes. Now people are crowding the small waiting area inside (110F out). We started with a cold drink, the Hana Awaka sparkling sake served in a bucket of ice. Perfect for this afternoon. Decided to get 4 items from the appetizer menu. 1. Lobster Chips. First time having this. Impressed at the ingenuity of the fusion of the crunchy chips with the lobster balls. 2. Brodie's Triple Stack. Another first for us. Tuna, salmon and yellowtail piled over spicy crab. 3. BBQ Tuna. 5 pcs for $20. Large morsels of albacore but sadly lacked flavor. Not the best BBQ Tuna we've had. 4. Hamachi Kama. Another large portion. This dish was fried instead of the grilled collars we've had. Decent. Our last dish was the popular Blue Oaks Roll. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really make an impression. At least we've ticked Tang's Sushi off our Roseville list. Probably won't be back. Pros. One-off dishes Cons. Pricey, weak flavors, Unimpressive atmosphere.

We've been wanting to try this very popular Japanese restaurant that's always packed with patrons and we decided to do it in the middle of the heatwave. Got there exactly at 4:30pm and was seated right away. We ordered mostly appetizers as follows: *lobster chips which was really good that's why it deserved an applause *BBQ white tuna 5 pieces-a bit spicy and hubby and I both agreed that it was a generous portion but the sauce wasn't enough *Hamachi Kama-1st time ever that I tried a fried one and it was not impressive, I found it overcooked and the sauce was not as tasty as I wanted it to be *Brodies triple stack - was actually good but for the $19 price it was pricey *last but not the least the popular blue oaks roll, it was ok. Our tab was $117 not including the tip. They are pricey. Staff were attentive and service was quick. Husband and I decided that we have satisfied our cravings and curiosity but may not go back.

Absolutely thrilled we stumbled upon this place! After hunting for a new sushi spot and stumbling upon a review mentioning this gem, I knew we had to give it a shot (cue happy dance)! It was bustling the night we visited, but the line moved swiftly, and the service was top-notch! The fish was incredibly fresh, and the portions were just right. Can't wait to go back soon!

I have noticed the quality of food and service has gone down. The rolls come with lots of mayonnase based sauce. One thing I used to love about Tang's is that they do not put too much sauce to mask the freshness of raw fish. Now that is not the case. The appetizer calamari has gone down hill as well. Their pieces are smaller and the quality is not the same. It has very wierd texture now. Even the service was not that good last time. They barely checked on us, and when they did, they forgot to bring the stuff we asked for. There were no soy sauce on the table, and we had to get up and ask for a fork twice for my kid. All the things we should not have to ask for. It is unfortunate to see my favorite place this way. It is still a better place than other sushi places around. But I sure hope they will come back!

My brother in law raved about this place so naturally we had to have a family dinner here. They showed up at opening on a Saturday and there was already a line! We had a big party of 6 adults and 3 kids, and it's not the biggest place inside so we weren't seated until an hour later. Everything on the menu looked great, but we left it mostly up to our waiter and the sushi chefs. You can order a "board" and basically you get a selection of items (omakase style pretty much) of sashimi and various other bites. I love that they make enough so each person gets to try every single thing too. I couldn't even name every single thing we got, but our awesome server did. He went through everything in detail when it came out, so impressive. I wish I remembered his name, it was the best service! Every single thing we ate was delicious. The fun thing about omakase is you can try stuff you probably wouldn't normally get. We had some kind of creamy oyster dish and that was so good! But my top favorites would go to the creamy scallop spoon, lobster chips, brodies (the one with lemon), the tuna on Hawaiian rolls, the blossom balls...like I said, EVERYTHING was good! The quality of the fish is perfect too. My favorite roll was the Keto Roll because of the jalapeño, but I also liked the garlic sauce on the Hawaiian Roll. I just need a happy combo of those two rolls! I'm salivating just thinking about this meal again. It's a far drive for us but totally worth it. Definitely next level sushi even though the interior may seem outdated and casual, but don't underestimate it! I'd come here over Mikuni any day, and it's definitely now in my top 3 sushi restaurants in Sacramento.
